Anthony Serrano joins The Margolin Group team as a Health Policy Analyst, researching, writing and commenting upon current trends in the health care industry. As a recent graduate of Hofstra University School of Law, Serrano concentrated much of his studies on Labor Relations and Employment Law, finding collaborative business models in which labor and management representatives worked together to achieve a common goal particularly interesting. His labor relations studies will be leveraged to develop the interest-based partnerships within The Margolin Group. During his tenure as Editor-in-Chief of the Hofstra Labor & Employment Law Journal—one of the nation’s foremost specialty law journals—he was responsible for soliciting, editing and publishing articles written by labor and employment scholars from across the country. Most notably, he worked with NLRB Regional Directors as well as Chairman Wilma Liebman to publish practitioners’ notes for an issue regarding the state of the National Labor Relations Board during its 75th anniversary. As editor, Serrano also launched a blog aimed at connecting current Journal members, scholars, practitioners and alumni with each other to discuss cutting-edge labor and employment issues in real-time.
When not studying or editing the Journal, Serrano worked as an Intern / Management & Program Assistant for the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services in New York City.
